LABOUR COUNCILLORS LET DEVELOPER OFF £600K BILL

Labour councillors voted to let a global property developer off paying £600,000 to Liverpool.
The developers, who boast a £391 BILLION global property portfolio, had threatened not to build 257 luxury apartments on the Queens Dock unless the council let them off the bill.
This is money developers pay towards roads and green space improvements in the surrounding area.
When Lib Dem councillor Pat Moloney demanded that the council Planning Committee force the developer to pay, this was voted down by angry Labour councillors, who called the move “deplorable.”
“These same Labour councillors voted to increase council tax for struggling families, but they are happy to roll over for one of the worlds richest property firms,” said Cllr Malcolm Kelly.
For the few, not the many
One Labour councillor later admitted that, “Developers are laughing all the way to the bank when dealing with Liverpool City Council.”
