Stop Labour's move to bin collections once every three weeks!

Senior Labour Councillor and former Deputy Mayor said it would be “a crime not to” move to one bin collection every three weeks!

Residents are shocked after a senior Labour councillor and former Cabinet Member said it would be “a crime not to” move to one bin collection every three weeks.

Cllr Carl Cashman and the Liverpool Lib Dem team think such a plan is ludicrous and would cause more problems with rats and other pests. Residents are now concerned that Labour is going to introduce bin collections once every three weeks with the introduction of the new food waste bin from April 2026.

The Lib Dems are clear: they would block any cuts to bin collections and look to scrap Labour’s disastrous green bin tax, which we spoke out against when it was first introduced saying the sums didn’t add up.

Carl said, “Cllr Munby’s comments just show how out of touch the Labour party is. I’ll fight to protect our fortnightly bin collections from any Labour cuts!”

Stop Labour's plan to cut bin collections to once every 3 weeks!

I/We the undersigned oppose any changes that would see bin collections in Liverpool to once every 3 weeks and instead fortnightly collections should be retained.
