Businesses Quitting Liverpool

Local people are missing out on high paying jobs, thanks to Liverpool’s Labour council corruption & incompetence.

A recent Liverpool Post investigation revealed how a fast growing local pharmaceutical company “absolutely pleaded” for the council to help to them find a local site to expand.

Eventually they gave up and moved their company (along with hundreds of skilled jobs) to Cheshire.

Another local firm moved 200 jobs to Manchester, claiming Liverpool had no suitable office space for them to expand. They said that the city council never even bothered to contact them before they left.

“While Manchester builds high quality office buildings, Liverpool just seems to build city centre apartments & student flats to flog to gullible oversees investors,” says Springwood campaigner Steve Fitzsimmons.

When the Liberal Democrats ran our city, the council worked night and day to bring jobs to Liverpool. Now Labour councillors are just chasing jobs away. It’s time to give them the boot.”

Lib Dems say, “The council should be working to bring high paying jobs to our city… Instead Labour councillors are chasing companies away.”
