Kayleigh listening

Have your say on making Meadow Lane one-way?

Many residents were surprised to hear that Liverpool City Council are proposing to introduce a one-way system on Meadow Lane.

This would means that Meadow Lane will become one-way from West Derby Village to the junction of Parkside Drive, and remain two-way from the junction of Parkside Drive to Muirhead Ave East. So, traffic will be able to enter Meadow Lane from West Derby Village, but can only exit Meadow Lane by turning right onto Parkside Drive.
The reason the Council want to do this is so they can widen the footpath along Meadow Lane, and they can only do this if that section of Meadow Lane becomes one-way.

However, many residents have made their concerns about this proposal clear to me, with the main worry being that Parkside Drive and Castleview Road will become a 'rat-run' of cars going to the Village.

The Council has said they will to listen and do what residents want to do.

That’s why we want to know what you think - are you in favour or against making Meadow Lane one-way? Fill out our quick survey below.
