Parking in Everton

Let’s fix problem parking in Everton!

All the time, residents bring up the issue of parking in our area and the fact that the Labour-run Liverpool City Council has done nothing.

The Labour councillor had promised that we would have parking restrictions in our area for the summer of 2025. This was meant to deal with commuters and students parking and obstructing residential roads. We were promised that there would be a community consultation about parking.

But none of this has happened, and frankly, that’s not good enough.

I wasn’t going to let Labour and the Council let down our community here in Everton again. That’s why I reach out to the council’s highways officers and the Leader of the Liverpool Lib Dems, Cllr Carl Cashman, asking them to take action.

We’ve asked for an “Experimental Traffic Regulation Order” or ETRO to be brought as soon as possible. This will allow the council to see if parking restrictions work at stopping rogue parking.

But I need to show that there’s public support. Please sign the petition.

Let’s fix problem parking in Everton!

I/we the undersigned support the introduction of an Experimental Traffic Regulation Order on Soho Street, Prince Edwin Street, William Henry Street, Canterbury Street, and neighbouring streets to tackle problem parking.
