Woolton Liberal Democrats call public meeting to fix Out Lane

Kris Brown, Liberal Democrat candidate for Woolton Ward and Councillor Malcolm Kelly have organised a public meeting for residents living off Out Lane in Woolton.

After knocking on doors and speaking to nearby residents, it is clear that people want solutions to the ongoing issues on Out Lane.

Kris Brown said “Local people tell me of their ongoing frustrations with Out Lane and the council’s inability to find substantial solutions. People are concerned about the access from the village, the school-run, speeding, safety, anti-social behaviour, lighting and more.

“For me, this is a real safety issue. There’s no way emergency services can access Out Lane from the village end. A fire truck will never be able to turn round the corner - it would have go a long way round to access an emergency scene, and by then it could be too late. I don’t want a bad situation to be the moment something is done about Out Lane. It’s time the council sees the level of public strong feeling about the road.”

Kris and Malcolm have invited Council Officers from the Highway’s department and Merseyside Police.

The meeting takes place on Wednesday 13th December 2017 from 6.30pm at The Quarry, 47A Allerton Road, L25 7RE.
