Say NO to “Blair’s Mayor”

Local people have give a big thumbs down to New Labour’s plans for an elected Mayor of Liverpool - according to a BBC poll.

70% of replies to a BBC Liverpool Online poll said they are against an elected Mayor for Liverpool.

The result come after it was revealed that an elected mayor would cost Council Tax payers an extra £2 million per year and result in our popular non-political Lord Mayor being axed.

“An elected mayor would just be a waste of money - doing the same job as the leader of the Council for 10 times the money,”

In Hartlepool, A man in a monkey suit was elected Mayor - showing just how seriously people take the idea of elected mayors.
