Save Our Police force

Our local police force could end up being run from Manchester, Chester, Preston or Carlisle under Labour Government plans.

Labour said they want to cut police forces by a third - and concentrate efforts on fighting terrorism!

We need local police - not 100 miles away!

Lib Dem Executive Member for Community Safety, Councillor Richard Marbrow said “We need our police to be much more local, not run from 100 miles away.

"We do need protecting from Al-Qaeda bombers, but we also need protecting from the crime & anti-social behaviour on our streets.”

“Under Labour, Merseyside now has less police than we had under the Tories - if we have to share them with the rest of the North West, we will see even less of them and they will be even less accountable.”

“We don’t see enough police in our area NOW - just imagine how often we would see them if they where run from Carlisle!”||left|||Yes 21st October 2005|Alder Hey to stay in Liverpool!
