Labour plan to let your rubbish rot!

Rats Charter -  Labour plan to halve your bin collection and leave your rubbish to rot

Labour plan to let your rubbish rot!

Labour Councillors and government call for twice monthly refuse collection.

Labour Councillors and the Labour Government are calling for your bin to be emptied twice a month - instead of the current weekly collection.

Lib Dems have branded Labour’s plan a Rat’s Charter, as residents in cities that have twice monthly bin collections complain of increased rats and maggots.

Lib Dem Executive Member for the Enviroment ,Councillor Berni Turner said, “This is a huge blow for ordinary families. Not only would we face huge council tax increases under Labour, but they would leave your rubbish to rot in our streets.”

“We remember when Labour last ran our City. Half the time they couldn’t even collect our rubbish - now they say they won’t bother to empty our bins.”

Local residents  groups have already joined in condeming Labour's plans.

As one resident said, "Labour want to take us back
to the bad old days of rubbish rotting in the
streets. Surely only rats and maggots will
vote for this!
"

The message to local people is clear - The rats will win if Labour win!

Liverpool will keep weekly bin collections while the Liberal Democrats are running our City!
