Council Tax freeze

Now for a BIG FREEZE we can all welcome.

Lib Dems freeze Council Tax in a bid to help struggling local families.

Good News for struggling local families!

In a bid to help struggling local families and hard pressed pensioners, the Liberal Democrats have FROZEN Council Tax bills.

We listened to you!

Last summer your Liberal Democrat Councillors ask 100,000 local people to tell us what should be the priorities for 2010.

“You told us that your top priority was to keep the Council Tax down, so that’s what we’ve done,” said Council Leader Warren Bradley.

“Gordon Brown’s recession has left us all struggling to make ends meet. To ease the burden on families we've worked hard to keep your bills down without cutting services.”

£½ Million Pot Hole Blitz

The recent big freeze has caused massive damage to many local roads, so the Liberal Democrats have found an extra £½ Million for a blitz on Liverpool’s pot holes.
Let you local Lib Dem team know if there’s one in your street.

...And most improved Council in Britain

In December, Liverpool’s Lib Dem Council was named the most improved Council in the Country - by the Labour Government’s own inspectors!

Saving you over £3000

When Labour ran our city, they increased our Council Tax by the maximum allowed each year.
By regularly keeping our Council Tax low, the Liberal Democrats have saved each Council Tax payer over £3000 since 1999!
